About Us

The 26 metre mast based vehicles, which are quick to set up and re-position, are the basis of the high level system and are a serious alternative to cherry pickers and offer a competitive solution where budgets don’t allow for traditional helicopters.

The fully controllable pneumatic mast mounted, quick to set up, vehicles enable production companies to obtain top shots in outside locations that previously would have been either expensive or logistically difficult.

By far the most important reason, and why we have survived and succeeded over the years, is because High Level people are not some kind of specialised machine-operators, they are experienced photographers who are dedicated to giving you the results you need.

Understanding is the key.

Achieving the best results is all about understanding our client’s needs and objectives. Yes, we have to use our special equipment skillfully, be there at the right time of day, select the best viewpoints, the precise camera heights and the best combination of camera, lens and settings.

It is however, through our understanding of our clients’ needs, finely-tuned through years of valuable experience, that we achieve consistently effective results.

That’s why we have so many regular clients who know they can depend on us.

So what else is so special about High Level?

Dedication, experience and expertise are only part of the story; our purpose-built equipment is exclusive and is specified to achieve otherwise impossible results.

Inner city, Out of town

Their small overall size enables our vehicles to operate in busy town centres using a single car-parking space where necessary in order to secure the precise views needed. Equally able out of town, our telescopic masts can be extended through the branches of trees or overhead telephone cables.

More results, better results

On board systems that allow quick set-up times enable more to be achieved in the time available. High Level Photography can work where others would be prohibited or unwelcome.
Hydraulic stabilisers level the vehicle and provide a steady platform for longer exposures if required, at dusk for instance.

Right-tech

Our experience and resources enable us to choose the right technology and exposure settings for the job. Even with the advent of digital technology the skills required to deliver quality results are the same as they were 20 years ago.
Cameras are operated by remote control and the image is accurately framed on a TV monitor or computer screen. The system allows the photographer to wait for exactly the right conditions to capture the crucial image.

Above all – reliable

High Level Photography can operate when the use of aircraft or other techniques would have to be ruled out because of hazy, misty or windy conditions or even low level flying restrictions. We can even operate near airports where photography from light aircraft is heavily restricted. Expensive street closures are unnecessary and special permissions are not required.

Our History – 1985 – Date

High Level Photography was founded in 1985 by Keith Hallam, who developed the mast based services we use to this day.
